The Slab Studio | 200 Air-Dry Clay Projects in 12 Volumes
Air-dry clay, taken seriously.
Twelve volumes of guided projects, grouped by what you feel like making: everyday objects, handmade gifts, sculptural pieces, wall art, nature studies, miniature places, games to keep, and decorations you bring out every year. Print the template, trace it on the clay, cut, shape, let it dry.
What you get
- 200 guided projects across twelve volumes, each with a full-size printable template.
- Over 2,000 pages. Print only the project you are making today.
- Up to nine pages per project: overview, what you need, a build map, six illustrated steps, common mistakes, finishing, and the template itself.
- Start Here, the foundations volume: choosing clay, tools, workspace, rolling and measuring, cutting and joining, drying and shrinkage, painting and sealing, and the first warning signs with their fixes.
- 5 bonus guides, included.
- 10 technique videos. Short clips with no commentary: kneading, rolling, cutting, joining, smoothing, sanding, painting.
What you need
Standard white air-dry clay, a rolling pin and a few simple tools. No kiln, no wheel, no studio — a kitchen table is enough.
How the templates work
You print them at home on A4 at 100%, Actual Size, with Fit to Page turned off, then measure the 50 × 50 mm calibration square with a ruler before cutting. Solid outlines are cutting lines; dashed marks show folds, placements and shallow details.
Good to know
These are decorative pieces for indoor display. Air-dry clay is not waterproof and not food safe, and a coating does not change that. Drying takes days rather than hours, and thick pieces can take weeks.
